Breastfeeding

Before we discuss the baby feeding schedule you might ask yourself  whether your baby’s getting enough breast milk

Although newborns breastfeed about 8 to 12 times a day, once breastfeeding and weight gain although they can space their feedings to only 8 times per day.

After that, a baby may want to nurse more often during a growth spurt, but will probably feeding on:

7-8 times a day, from 3 to 4 months
5-7 times a day for 5 to 6 months of age
4-6 times a day between 7 and 12 months of age
3 to 4 times per day after 12 months of age until the baby and breastfeeding mother are ready to wean.

Keep in mind  Breastfeeding should be continued for at least the first year of life and beyond for as long as mutually desired by mother and child.

If a breastfeeding mother to wean a baby is 12 months old, while the baby should have an iron-fortified infant formula.

Baby Formula

Baby Feeding Schedule indicates that most babies are satisfied three -four ounces per feeding during the first month, and increase the amount of one ounce per month until it reaches 8 ounces “For a baby of two months, it means that your baby will probably drink about 4-5 ounces of formula milk at a time.

Some babies never reach 8 ounces, howeverculminating at 5-6 ounces at a feeding.

MOST babies are satisfied with 3 to 4 ounces per feeding falling on the first month, and Increase That Amount by 1 ounce per month reaching up to 8 ounces. “For a 2 month old, that ‘your baby Means That Will probably be drinking about 4 to 5 ounces of baby formula at a time.

Some babies never reach 8 ounces though, topping out at 5 to 6 ounces at a feeding.

Average baby drinks:

4-6 bottles of milk until the age of about 6 months
3-5 formula bottles between 7 and 9 months of age
3-4 bottles of milk between 10 and 12 months of age
3-4 bottles of whole milk or formula toddlers when they are 12 months.
